MILITARY TIMELINE WEEKEND

This event will feature encampments, weaponry displays, and demonstrations from living history groups that depict various conflicts through the centuries.
Costumed re-enactors set up camp around the Village and demonstrate the life and equipment used by military personnel throughout history.

Kids Militia Muster! - Kids can learn how to march like soldiers in Washington's Army. 12:30 at the Dennisville Inn
Visit with Dr. Benjamin Franklin all day at the Spicer Leaming House
Patriot Spy Game: Kids can use one of George Washington's cyphers to decode a secret message from clues around the Village
The Battle of Turtle Gut Inlet - Learn about Cape May County's only Revolutionary War Battle. 2:00 at the Village Welcome Center
19th Century Europe
Visit with a British regiment and see what life was like for soldiers at the peak of the Empire during the Victorian and Queen Anne eras
American Civil War
See Army life during the War Between the States in Union and Confederate Camps
Veterans Field of Flags
Purchase a flag in memory of veteran to place in our field of honor. Part of the procedes go to local veterans groups
