Dear Santa,

The twinkle lights are glowing, the fires are crackling, and the holiday spirit is dancing through the air at Historic Cold Spring Village. As the season of giving arrives, we find ourselves thinking of you- the world’s most magical helper- and writing with a very special Christmas wish.

Here in our little Village, we spend each day preserving the stories, skills, and traditions of early America. Behind every candlelite window, every costumed interpreter, and every child giggling during a school tour, there beats the warm heart of our Village family, friends, volunteers, members, and supporters who keep our history alive with their kindness.

And Santa, this year more than ever, we’re reminded that It Truly Takes a Village.

With 27 historic buildings standing proudly across our grounds, we work year-round to repair, restore, and care for each one. From roofs and siding to hearths, beams, and windows, the needs never stop and neither does our commitment to preserving the past. We simply can’t do it without the generosity of those who believe in our mission. 

So here is our holiday wish:
