Rio Grande Railroad Station

Built: 1894. Original Location: Rio Grande, alongside the Atlantic City Railroad Tracks (beside what is now Route 47).
Acquired by HCSV: 1974

This small passenger station originally served the farming community of Rio Grande, just north of Cold Spring. It was built in 1894 by the Atlantic City Railroad, which established the second rail line that brought thousands of passengers from Camden via Atlantic County to the resort of Cape May City in the 19th century.

Open for the season on Saturday & Sunday June 20 & 21 from 11am to 4pm. After that weekend, Open Thursday thru Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm thru Labor Day weekend and then special event weekends in the Fall.

Business Office and Welcome Center: Monday thru Friday 10am to 4pm
The office is located on the second floor of the Welcome Center located on the Route 9 side of the Village.
