    Celebrate all things American at Historic Cold Spring Village’s annual Independence Day Celebration, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 1st and 2nd, from 10am to 4:30pm.
    A variety of patriotic family activities, programs and music will be taking place. The Village's restored historic buildings will be open, featuring demonstrations of Early American trades and crafts.

    Independence Day Celebration 2017

    At the Welcome Center
    See a display of historic flags, from colonial times to today!

    At the Dennisville Inn, 11:30 am
    Children ages 5 to 12, your country needs you! Meet in front of the Dennisville Inn at 1 pm and meet Boatswain Richard Lawrence of the sloop of war
    USS Buffalo, defending Delaware Bay from the British during the War of 1812. He will teach young recruits the basics of the manual of arms so that they may defend their homes from British attack.

    At the Village Gazebo, 12:30 pm
    Join HCSV Deputy Director Jim Stephens as he presents
    The Story of Old Glory, a fascinating look at the origins and early history of the most famous symbol of our nation, the flag of the United States, how it came to be and some of the interesting people behind it, many of whom you may not have heard of.

    At the Village Gazebo, 2 pm
    The John Walter Cape Community Band performs a variety of classic American patriotic music for your enjoyment.

    The Patriot Spy Game
    George Washington needs the help of our young visitors! Get your answer sheet and cipher key at the entrance gates and find the clues and ciphers around the Village. When you have found them all, bring your answer sheet to the Ice Cream Parlor for a prize.

    Ghost Walks at 8pm on Thursdays start in July at Historic Cold Spring Village.
    Meet at Cold Spring Brewery for this 45 minute walking tour.
    Tickets available at either gate during operating hours or at the brewery thereafter.
    $15 per person, $12 children 3-12 years old.

    Whaler Yeoman weekend celebrates the Cape May County founding families’ livelihoods, which were tied to the land and the sea.
    Demonstrations and discussions regarding whaling to farming, to trades and crafts that support these early settlers, will be featured.

    The 13th Annual Celtic Festival features musical entertainment throughout the grounds, interactive demonstrations and a pub area with all-day live music. The Village’s restored, historic buildings will also be open, with historical interpreters demonstrating the trades and crafts of the 1800s.

    Cruise into Historic Cold Spring Village for the Annual Classic and Antique Car Show on Saturday and Sunday, August 12-13. Cars will be on display each day from 10am-3pm. See beautifully restored and preserved vehicles, from muscle cars to light trucks, from the 1910s to the 1980s parked along the Village’s tree-lined, shell-paved lanes. Talk with the owners and learn about the process of restoring a classic automobile as well as the fascinating stories behind their development and use.

Visit Historic Cold Spring Village for ‘Paranormal Pursuits’: Spiritualism in the 1800s on Saturday and Sunday, August 19th and 20th, from 10am to 4:30pm. In addition to experiencing the Village’s 27 restored, historic buildings dating from 1691-1912, guests can enjoy various workshops, demonstrations and tours which highlight the study of spiritualism and the paranormal.

    Authentically clad and equipped reenactors bring the American Revolution to life!
    This event will feature encampments, weaponry and demonstrations from living history groups, including Continentals, Loyalists and Hessians.
    Visitors can experience an artillery demonstration both days. Skirmishes throughout the day.

    Visitors can tour Union and Confederate camps and meet authentically clad and equipped military and civilian reenactors who will discuss the everyday lives of Civil War soldiers and the roles civilians played in supporting them.

    Step back in time for a lovely autumn evening, when the Friends of Historic Cold Spring Village host the annual Candlelight Walk. Luminaries will line the paths and guide you to several of the Village’s restored historic buildings where wine, beer and a variety of light fare will be served. Guests will also enjoy desserts, live musical entertainment and hot beverages at the Village Pavilion. A special holiday sale at the Country Store will feature heritage wares, books and a wide variety of historical toys.

    The Village paths come alive with the sounds and smells of wintertime at this free family event. Select buildings will be open where guests can enjoy hands-on crafts, live music, hot beverages and holiday treats served by historical clothed interpreters. Visitors can meet Father Christmas in the Country Store.
    The Country Store will be open and stocked with unique holiday gift ideas including traditionally-processed wool, artisan crafts for the home, books, jewelry, toys and old fashioned candy.
